Well…if I'd have been the editor of this magazine, it would so not look like this…and If my role as the art director would have been 'free' and flexible, it STILL wouldn't look like this. To be quite frank, I was never happy with the visual outcome of this magazine, but since it was a project and the editor was 'doing' everyone's job, I followed order.

Anyhow, there you go…the outcome of working in a group…Below are the pages I have edited and done, and I have also written the Harry Potter article, the Lord of The Rings book review and the captions of the fashion spread. I have done the editing of the fashion spread as well. The photography on the book review pages was taken and edited by me, the photography on the fashion spread was by me and Veronica Ruixe Li.

For the next couple of days, perhaps even weeks. I'd have to bombard you with some of my Graphic Design work that I have done in my previous years of University…why? Because…well I should perhaps write down the reason after the 18th of May hahah

For friends that study with me and are currently reading this: YES thats right hahaha I have to put up design work for ha ha ho ha!

Welcome, welcome, the time has come to…change the blog layout! (Yes I have done part of the famous speech by Effie from The Hunger Games :D)

I have designed a new blog layout, that reflects something that is soon to come…Kept it simple, minimal and the colours are used throughout my Twitter, Tumblr and Facebook pages. The same goes to the typeface and logo.

Goodbye to my good old blog design, that has served me well for 18 months! Hope you like the new design :)

There is this amazing Turkish restaurant in Harringay Green Lanes, which's name I forgot of…but I will write it down when I remember…I'm not much of a meat eater, but this place made me eat so much meat and chicken, I have no regrets! It's so delicious and HALAL!

I am not sure if I made any sense, but…yeah as long as you understood, right?

Living in the borough where the Queen Victoria was born, it just seemed very fitting for me to find out more about her history and watch the film. Enjoyed this film on a lovely Sunday afternoon with a Victoria Spongecake and good old English tea. Devine!

As for the film, I was highly impressed, despite the fact that it was a historical film. Something worth mentioning is that historical films aren't my usual cup of tea (keeping this post as 'English' as possible haha) hence me being highly impressed.



It's not just the story of the Queen, but also how she have found the love of her life. It is a rather unusual love story, note that Queens back then used to propose to a man, and not vice versa, and note that the family had an influence on who a Queen would pick as her spouse. That on its own is unusual, but also the fact that Victoria has picked her future husband (her cousin), despite the fact that her family arranging a marriage to her other cousin. Another unusual thing was the amount of love she had for Prince Albert was admiring. Most monuments (especially the Prince Albert monument and the Royal Albert Hall in South Kensington) were dedicated to him from her after his death.

Oh and I am absolutely in love with Emily Blunt, watch most of the films she's in and enjoyed them all, she's such a sweetheart (just noticed my last Food and Film post included a film with her…lol)

Anyhow, I feel like I'm spoiling all films for you guys with these post…its worth watching it, you'll like it or maybe even love it!

Well…you can always look up wikipedia to read about Mount Uhud and the Battle of Uhud, and of course approved islamic books…sorry I am sort of lazy to write about it. Also I don't think we've actually climed the actual mount Uhud, because it's 1,077m…so it was a cliff, a rather 'small' cliff that my mother, sister and I managed to climb alhamdulillah
