Sadly, the cemetery is not allowed to be visited by women, therefor the pictures are only from outside. Not that you would see much inside anyways, its pure sand (and in my relief, it isn't spooky or scary like other cemeteries!). In fact, it is pretty peaceful. The ground is massive, not sure how big, but it covers a lot of ground!
It's right next to the Masjid Al-Nabawi, and the Prophet's (s.a.w) relatives and companions are buried in the cemetery. Obviously with current and previous civilians passing away daily, they get buried in Al-Baqi' too. When you visit Madinah, you'll get to witness it yourself...
