Shimmer & Shine is a charity event. It was rather pleasant, with a lot of lovely sisters, stalls selling their goods such as hijabs, jewellery and delicious cupcakes! Several make up artist and hair stylist also took part in the event, dressing up the models for the fashion show (which unfortunately could not take pictures of due to confidential reasons...).

Since this event was organised for the first time, it was just natural to have experienced few ups and downs, like the fashion show was meant to only last one hour but it took way longer than that and some of the designers who booked stalls didn't turn up. It luckily did not effect much of the event and everything else remained very much organised and fun.

I do hope that Shimmer & Shine comes back next year inshallah, I'd be more than happy to attend again :)
